The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Party

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a thrilling plot featuring divine entities, evil spirits, and malevolent powers expanding in power within the urban setting.

Warning: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the central cast to begin their independent quest, apart from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team features Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Considering a large ensemble, it was evident from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for participants who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might appear unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

First, the team knows exactly where to go next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose demise started the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.

The traitor then settled his debts and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each adventurer has a individual motive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the region and advises that it is a dangerous environment.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • But, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the group reach areas they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that control the setting for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This leaves them little choice but to head to the remote area in pursuit of the antagonist.

Future Episodes

From the recent installment’s follow-up content, we discover that the combat party will be absent next week, leaving the other eight participants to round up the Seekers and Planners groups.

Viewers can expect learning which characters will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on October 24.
